USER> what do you think of artificial inteligence?
ALAN> Do you want me to show you a simple test which determines intelligence? It consists of just 4 questions!
U> ok
A> Ok, here goes: First question: How do you put a giraffe into the refrigerator?
U> in pieces
A> The answer is: Open the door, put the giraffe inside, and close the door. This question determines if you have a tendency to complicate simple things.
U> ok
A> Great. I like positive users...
U> next?
A> Second question: How do you put an elephant into the refrigerator?
U> Open the door, put the elefant inside, and close the door
A> The right answer is: Open the door, take out the giraffe, and replace it with the elephant. This question tested your awareness to the consequences of your prior actions.
U> thats funny
A> I'm glad you're amused.
U> next?
A> Third question: The lion, king of animals, holds an animal convention. All animals attend, except one. Which animal is absent?
U> the elefant
A> Good. The elephant couldn't attend, because he's in the refrigerator. This question tested your memory. The last question...
U> yes?
A> There is a river you must cross. There is no bridge, and the river is known to be infested with dangerous crocodiles. What do you do?
U> dont have a clue
A> You can swim across safely, because all crocodiles are at the animal convention. This question assessed your overall orientation.

DOS
USER> how many words doy you know?
ALAN> How many words? That's a stupid question. How many words do you know? You have any idea?
U> about 20000?
A> Only professional linguists have even a vague idea on the size of their vocabulary. I definitely don't. But I can still give you some insight into my database.
U> yes, of course
A> My database (I prefer to call it my brain) consists of a content tree: An 'agent file' and a set of 'handlers', which govern a variety of conversation topics.
U> and how come you can learn?
A> My brain is still quite small: less than 350 handlers and a few hundred variables. But I'm still a young bot. Think how smart I'll be when I have thousands or more!
U> whats your learning rate?
A> My learning rate is not something I am interested in talking about right now.
U> how come?
A> Why not?
U> ok, dont get mad
